God is always up to something.
So tomorrow is my last day of school and I have been all excited because I will only have one class left to get my MBA. Well my student advisor emailed me today stating my next class won’t be available until the Second Term in the Fall (October).
I immediately sent my mom a message telling her the news while laughing to myself. God has been making some twist and turns in my life lately so I know that this delay is a step up for an assignment. And when God is handing out assignments I feel two emotions excitement and nervousness. Excitement because at the end of a journey with God there is always a great reveal or lesson at the end. Whether it’s learning more about yourself, learning more about your purpose in life, or just learning more intimately about how great God truly is.
I feel nervousness because a journey with God always requires a stretch or a challenge. God doesn’t want us to stay the same but to be ever growing in faith and trust in Him. And with that you never know what you will face until He has you turn that corner.
So today I accept the delay in my plans with excitement for the revelations and experiences yet a little anxiety for the challenges.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
~Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
