When a toddler starts to walk they tend to wobble even fall down from time to time. And if a parent is close by what do they do? Right, try to catch the baby. But, if they fall the parent picks them up and nurtures them with courage to try again.
When we fall in our walk with Christ, he is there to show us that same love and compassion. There may be times you will wobble -not reading your word, not praying, or snapping on someone. And their may be times that you will fall – sin or go back to your old habits that weren’t pleasing to God.
When you fall, and I do mean when because we all fall short, be sure to lean into God not away from him. And just like the loving parent that encourages the toddler, God will pick you up, dust you off, and help you get back on track.
being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 1:6
